The EGTA Series

EGTA Series

The EGTA Series, including the ‘One+One‘ and ‘Solo Now‘ books along with ‘The Baroque Book‘ and ‘The Classical Book‘, is an early example of EGTA’s vision.

All the books have become extremely popular and are used internationally, not least as set pieces in the syllabuses of the leading examination boards.

The series was originally published by Chanterelle under the guidance of Michael Macmeeken.  The imprint was sold to Zimmerman publishers in 2016.  Zimmerman’s on-line sales have subsequently been taken on by Schott’s in Germany and as a result the books can now be purchased directly through their web-site.  Once you are viewing the page (shown under ‘plucked instruments’ in the ‘Music Education’ section, simply search for ‘EGTA’ and the full list of available titles will be displayed.  Prices are shown in Euros.

Alternatively the ABRSM has upgraded its on-line system recently and now stocks the EGTA Chanterelle series too.  Once you have entered their on-line guitar publications shop select Chanterelle from the list of available publishers on the left of the screen and the full range will be displayed.

The books are also readily available via your local high street bookshop or from on-line sheet music retailers.
