EGTA collaboration with ABRSM

EGTA has been working over the last 2 years in an advisory capacity to the ABRSM. The result is a totally new classical guitar syllabus from the biggest examing board in the world. New publications have been produced including a Preliminary Book of the EGTA Solo Now series. Dozens of people in all corners of the UK have collaborated on this project; composers, editors, arrangers, publishers and printers have all been striving for the autumn 2008 deadline becuase the syllabus is effective from January 2009. EGTA believes this to be the most important didactic collaboration of recent times for the classical guitar and pays especial hommage to the vision of Richard Wright, our publications editor.
