Conference recital – Wed. 27th July – Bradley Johnson

We are proud to announce that Bradley Johnson is the most recent recipient of an EGTA(UK) financial award under our newly-launched Young Players’ Performance Platform scheme.

He will perform a day-time recital at the EGTA(UK) annual conference at Queen Margaret’s School in Escrick, near York, at 3pm on Wednesday 27th July 2016.

Bradley, who is currently studying at the Royal Northern College Of Music under Craig Ogden, has already won one of the country’s most prestigious prizes for young performers, The 2015 Ivor Mairants Guitar Award , administered by the Worshipful Company Of Musicians.

As a direct result of this success he was invited to perform a recital at the International Guitar Research Centre‘s conference in Guildford, Surrey in March.

Developing an early interest in the guitar, Brad started lessons at the age of 7 with Nicholas Powlesland. Since then, he has attended masterclasses with acclaimed guitarists and teachers such as The Katona Twins, Julian Byzantine, Edoardo Catemario, Elena Papandreou, Gordon Crosskey, Gary Ryan and Michael Lewin.

He plays a 2007 Stephen Hill 1A Guitar.
