These include a highly acclaimed performance with John Williams in 2002 at the Guildhall (Bath) and the most recent collaborations with the Eden Stell duo, including the release of the Festive Fizz CD featuring NYGE’s recording with the duo and with Cellist Victoria Walker.Stephen Dodgson and Alfonso Montes have dedicated works to NYGE and the ensemble has performed in the presence of Leo Brouwer and Andrew York.

We are very privileged to announce that Keith Fairbarin will be joining NYGE to perform at the Easter and Summer concerts. The combination of Guitar and Percussion will make an exhilarating and diverse concert.
GARY NYGE DIRECTING NYGE:
To celebrate our 10 year Anniversary, NYGE have commissioned renowned British Guitarist & Composer Gary Ryan to write a work for the ensemble. Gary is increasingly celebrated for breathing new life into the classical guitar repertoire with his own highly innovative compositions which challenge traditional perceptions of the instrument.
The commission will be premiered in the summer with Gary Ryan directing the ensemble at the opening evening of the York Guitar Festival.

NYGE AUDITIONS 2010
Thank you to all applicants who auditioned for NYGE 2010.
The auditions were fully booked at every venue and the panel were very impressed with the high standard of applicants.
There is a limited amount of places available this year making it a very strong competition. We would therefore like to encourage applicants that are not succesful this year to re-audition for NYGE 2011.
Results will be published in February/March and send out to all applicants in the post.
The NYGE 2010 course date information have now been updated.
